Distilled Fatty Acids

Distilled Fatty Acid is a light yellow and viscous liquid, having a slight characteristic vegetable oil aroma. It is obtained by the distillation of vegetable oil deodorizer distillate. Various grades of distilled fatty acids are derived from different types of vegetable oils and their by products such as Palm Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Soya Bean Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Sunflower Oil, Mustard Oil etc. They are generally liquids or Soft Solids, and contain a mixed composition of acids reflecting the parent oil or fat. Distilled fatty acid is soluble in oils and fats and insoluble in water.

Applications :

• As surfactants and auxiliaries for the textile industries
• In manufacturing of emulsifiers
• Manufacturing of washing agents (soaps) and washing powders
• Manufacturing of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products
• Manufacturing of lubricating agents
• In plastics industry
• As fabric softeners for household detergents and textiles.
• Manufacturing of alkyd resins for paints

• Manufacturing of rubber chemicals, fatty acid esters, fatty amines
